Flint Hills Resources’ ability to create value does not begin or end with a refined product. A team of marketers, schedulers and logistics specialists focus on keeping the refineries supplied with crude oil, and they also market fuel oil, jet fuel and other products.

Fuels serve a wide variety of customers, including fuel jobbers, gasoline retailers, wholesale distributors, commercial and government fleets, and airlines. From the Flint Hills Resources refineries in Minnesota and Texas fuels are shipped via both those owned by Flint Hills Resources and common carrier pipelines throughout the Upper Midwest and Central Texas. Products are then distributed to customers through a system of fuel terminals. In other regions, fuels are either purchased from or exchanged with local fuel and pipeline companies.

Flint Hills Resources has ongoing projects to improve its ability to meet customer needs in the areas it serves, continually evaluating market demand. These projects include newly built facilities as well as expansions of existing facilities. The company also has completed projects to increase the amount of gasoline and diesel it transports on its proprietary pipelines.
